Tarvi Sits organises and governs the work of the ministry’s structural units and coordinates the activities of the state authorities under the governance of the ministry.
Acting as Undersecretary for Cultural Heritage he organises the work of the department of cultural objects and, through the director general, organises the work of the National Heritage Board. He is the coordinator of the general development directions in the area of museums, libraries and heritage protection and organises the creation of the conditions necessary for the development of national culture and preserving the intellectual cultural heritage.
Taaniel Raudsepp is the manager of the arts department, organising the creation of the conditions necessary for the development of performing arts, music, literature and publishing, visual and applied arts, media services and film. The undersecretary of arts also takes part in the drafting and development of the national architectural policy.
Tarvi Pürn is responsible for the work of the sports department. He is responsible for the co-ordination of setting the general development directions of sports and fitness, sports-related training courses and scientific and applied research on sports. Tarvi Pürn also co-ordinates the development of the bases of the national funding for sports-related activities, cooperation with other ministries and state authorities in sports-related issues and co-operation between sports organisations.
Piret Hartman is responsible for facilitating the conditions for the development of cultural life of national and ethnic minorities living in Estonia, for supporting the development of cultural life and activities of Estonian expats living abroad and for the development and implementation of general development goals for integration and adaption policies.
