The visit of Georgian Minister of Culture Mikheil Giorgadze to Tallinn
The visit of Georgian Minister of Culture Mikheil Giorgadze to Tallinn from 12-14 November upon the invitation from the Estonian Ministry of Culture.
The Georgian Minister of Culture was particularly interested in the Estonian industrial heritage sights and how they are taken back in use in innovative ways. In addition to meeting his Estonian colleague Indrek Saar, the Georgian delegation visited the following sights: Energy Discovery Centre, Tallinn Creative Hub, Sea Plane Harbour, Baltic Film, Media, Arts and Communication School, Estonia Piano Factory and the Tallinn’s historic Old Town. On Friday, the Georgian Minister of Culture opened the Focus on Georgian Film programme within the Black Nights Film Festival.
According to the Estonian Minister of Culture Indrek Saar, the bilateral relations between Estonia and Georgia have been excellent. „The brightest example of the fruitful and mutually useful cooperation is most certainly the outstanding and significant Estonia-Georgia co-production film „Tangerines“, which was recognized with an Oscar nomination. Undoubtedly our cooperation will continue and develop in good pace in other areas as well,“ Minister Saar said.
