Cultural budget for 2017
On 23 December 2016, President Kersti Kaljulaid proclaimed the law on State Budget for 2017. For the Ministry of Culture, the priorities within the budget are the wage increase for culture professionals, investments as well as the long-awaited substantive policy reforms in the field of culture.
Changes in principles of financing sports
During the State Budget negotiations of 2015, the Minister of Culture and the Minister of Finance agreed that the principles of financing sports would be reviewed with representatives of the sports sector.
